1. The Trump administration is offering federal workers a “deferred resignation” buyout, providing pay and benefits through September if they quit by February 6. Aimed at enforcing Trump’s full-time return-to-office policy, the program allows employees to resign simply by replying “Resign” to an email. The White House expects up to 10% of workers to accept, as Trump pushes to shrink the federal workforce. Elon Musk, head of the “Department of Government Efficiency,” praised the move, though federal unions slammed it as a purge of career employees that could destabilize government operations.

2. Trump Media is expanding into financial services with Truth.Fi, a new division focused on investment products aligned with the "Patriot Economy." Backed by up to $250 million and custodied at Charles Schwab, Truth.Fi will offer ETFs, cryptocurrencies, and other investments emphasizing American growth, manufacturing, and energy. CEO Devin Nunes frames this as protection against "cancellation, censorship, and debanking." The move follows Republican complaints about banks allegedly discriminating against conservatives and comes amid broader fintech ambitions from Trump allies like Elon Musk’s X. Shares of Trump Media (DJT) rose 6.5% on the announcement.
