  1. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has launched a lawsuit against Amazon, accusing the company of deceptive tactics and consumer protection law violations. It's alleged that Amazon used manipulative strategies to trick consumers into signing up for its Prime subscription service without their consent and made cancellation a challenging process. This marks the third FTC lawsuit against Amazon within a month.

  2. U.S. energy companies have reduced domestic oil and gas drilling to a low not seen since April 2022 due to persistently weak oil prices. The decrease in drilling activity is projected to persist. Concurrently, crude oil reserves have consistently increased for two months, reaching a two-year high.
