  1. Former President Donald Trump urged his supporters to reconsider their stance on Anheuser-Busch following a request from UFC President Dana White. Last year, Anheuser-Busch faced backlash over a Bud Light marketing campaign featuring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Trump's appeal for a "second chance" for the beer company came through a post on Truth Social, highlighting Anheuser-Busch's contributions, including $700 million annually to farmers, employment for 65,000 Americans, and scholarships for military families' members. This support aligns with the recent $100 million partnership between UFC, owned by TKO Group Holdings, and Anheuser-Busch, making Bud Light the official beer of UFC. Trump, who has attended several UFC events and is a close ally of White, also hinted at releasing a list of companies he deems "woke," criticizing them for allegedly seeking to "destroy America." This follows his earlier criticism of Bud Light's ad with Mulvaney, which he blamed for a significant market cap loss for Anheuser-Busch.

  2. Amazon's Prime Video has secured exclusive rights to stream an NFL playoff game next season, following the achievement of specific viewership targets in its "Thursday Night Football" agreement with the league. This deal comes after Amazon committed approximately $1 billion annually for exclusive rights to "Thursday Night Football" starting in 2021. The move into streaming an NFL playoff game, a first for Prime Video, follows NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming an NFL Wild Card game, marking a milestone as the first playoff game broadcast exclusively on a streaming service. Despite NBCUniversal's interest in continuing to offer streaming-only playoff games, Amazon's recent deal with the NFL underlines its substantial investment in sports broadcasting. This strategy aims to enhance its Prime membership appeal, which offers numerous benefits for an annual fee and boasts 200 million subscribers globally, with 80 million active Prime Video households in the U.S. alone. Both Amazon and the NFL have not commented on this development, and a response from NBCUniversal is pending.
